Once arrived, I got one of those nifty Oyster card equivalents and headed down the MRT to Rachel and Ed's apartment complex, who I'm staying with while I'm here. Turns out they live in luxury and the complex has a massive private pool and room service to clean and change towels. Plus it's by harbourfront where the cable-cars head to Sentosa Island and home to the biggest shopping centre that isn't built in a disused quarry I've ever seen.
I then headed on the MRT to the Central Business District to meet Ed for a spot of dinner. We had traditional Singapore food in traditional Singapore style, from street vendors (Called Hawkers) on plastic tables and chairs set up on a street that until 7pm, was a main road. Food was very good!
